LIBRARY DUTIES AND DEFINITIONS
- To carry out the necessary work to establish a sufficient staff for library services,
- To submit an opinion to the Rectorate regarding the personnel to be appointed or assigned to the libraries and to carry out general training and supervision duties on the library staff at the university,
- To meet the information and documentation needs required for education, training, and research. To provide books, periodicals, theses, microfilms, audiovisual materials, videotapes, and all similar information from within and outside the university; to systematically organize the stored information and make it available to those who need it; to organize, execute, and supervise the necessary library services to meet information needs,
- To provide books, periodicals, tools, and equipment to be procured from within the country and abroad every year; and similar materials, and to prepare the necessary budget draft and submit it to the Rectorate,
- To ensure the best possible library services, and ensure that the library materials are regularly updated with the latest technology.
- Prepare an activity report on the library and documentation services.
- Provide internships and practical training for students studying librarianship when necessary.
- Ensure that the library materials are updated within the allocated budget in a manner befitting a modern library. Take the necessary measures to ensure the sustainable development of the library. Share your suggestions on this matter with the Board of Directors. To report to the management,
- To resolve any infrastructure and superstructure deficiencies that may hinder the proper provision of library services within the framework of their duties and authority. To promptly notify the Rectorate and other relevant Department Heads regarding matters exceeding their authority and request a solution,
- To inform the Rectorate about developments in the library and library services.
