Ankara Science University - eduroam Installation Guide
All our staff and students must first install the “eduroam” WiFi network on their mobile devices. Once you have connected this network to your mobile device, you can use the internet access in your location with the account information provided by our university wherever you see the “eduroam” WiFi network. You should only use this network at universities you visit outside of our university.
eduroam installation for computers (Windows and macOS):
1. 1. Enter https://cat.eduroam.org in your browser. 2. Click the download button on the main screen and select Ankara Science University. 3. The system will automatically detect your operating system. Run the downloaded installation file. 4. When prompted during installation, enter your login information as described above, including your email address and password. A package will be suggested based on your mobile device. To see all packages, click the “All platforms” link.
To connect to the internet securely on our university campus and at other institutions worldwide, you need to install the eduroam profile on your device.
eduroam installation for Mobile Devices (Android and iOS):
To perform the installation process smoothly on your mobile devices, it is recommended to use the official application developed by GÉANT.
1. Download and install the “geteduroam” application from your phone's app store (Google Play Store or App Store).
(Please ensure you select the original application developed by SURF/GÉANT instead of secondary applications with different logos.) 2. When you open the application, select Ankara Science University from the institution list. 3. When you click Next, the system will ask you for your authentication information: o Username: The username given to you by our university (e.g., ad.soyad@ankarabilim.edu.tr or s12345C78S@ankarabilim.edu.tr)
Password: Your email password.
4. Once you enter the information and confirm, your device will be named "eduroam". It will connect to your network automatically and securely. (Alternatively, you can go to https://cat.eduroam.org from your device's browser, click the "Click to download your eduroam installer" button, and directly download the profile file suitable for your device.)
