Technology Transfer Office
The Ankara Science University Technology Transfer Office aims to contribute to economic and social development by implementing universal approaches in utilizing the knowledge generated at our university, based on academic knowledge, in the business world and particularly in industry, utilizing national and international financial support programs, disseminating the knowledge generated to society and transforming it into commercial products, managing intellectual and industrial property rights, and encouraging academic entrepreneurship.
The Ankara Science University Technology Transfer Office operates in five areas:
- To provide the necessary information, promotion and training services in order to develop cooperation between the university and the industry within the scope of awareness, promotion, information and training services, to create a business inventory in order to match the academic knowledge and experience of the university with the needs of the industry, to communicate with the technology transfer office centers at home and/or abroad within the scope of network structuring activities and to raise knowledge and awareness in this field. and contributing to the increase in knowledge.
- As part of services aimed at benefiting from support programs, we aim to raise awareness among academics about national and international financial support programs, develop announcement mechanisms, and organize events to encourage their utilization.
- As part of project development/management services, we aim to facilitate contracted projects between the industry/business world and the university, produce information and documents related to the promotion of academics' areas of expertise, support project development and the creation of contracts, and organize project market and project competition events. We also offer testing and analysis services to the industry, organizing projects to treat business illnesses identified through analysis.
- Intellectual and industrial Within the scope of property rights management, the entire process is carried out, including applying for patents/utility models/industrial designs, monitoring the process, marketing and commercialization of registered industrial property rights and licensing agreements. Providing services to ensure support throughout the lifespan.
- Within the scope of entrepreneurship development and incorporation services, we organize the participation of university graduates and industrialists to establish a business angel network and create and support the establishment of venture capital funds. We also conduct studies on individual participation and access to venture capital, business start-up consulting, and training services, and organize events to raise awareness on these topics. We also support the establishment of structures such as incubator centers and provide joint support to companies founded by students and/or academics.
