APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
- A letter of acceptance confirming your acceptance to the location where you plan to do your internship.
- Students must determine their own internship location, complete the necessary correspondence, and receive an acceptance letter. This document will be uploaded to the application system.
- This document must contain the following information:
- It is within the scope of the Erasmus+ Internship Mobility Programme,
- The date range of the internship is 360 days.
- This period can be a minimum of 60 days and a maximum of 360 days; a maximum of 60 days of your internship will be funded by the Erasmus Office. For Granted Internship Mobility of 60 Days or More, please contact the Erasmus Office.
- *Before setting this date, please research the average visa preparation process. You can complete your internship during the summer vacation.

- Signed and sealed on the letterhead of the accepting institution. The acceptance letter must be entered as follows.
- Current Transcript
- Students who have not yet achieved a GPA in their undergraduate program and students who have newly enrolled in a master's or doctoral program and have not yet achieved a GPA must upload their latest transcript showing their enrollment for the relevant academic year (even if it does not include a GPA) and the transcript from the department/program they most recently graduated from.
- Foreign Language Certificate
- No validity period will be required for language certificates. No exam results, certificate, diploma, or placement test results will be accepted except for those recognized as equivalent by SYM. Additionally, only the Erasmus Language Exam results administered by our university's Preparatory School will be taken into account. It should be noted that the preferred institutions (where you are accepted for the internship) may request documents in a different language and level than yours in their own application requirements.
APPLICATION CRITERIA
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP LOCATION AND DURATION
- Students registered full-time at ABUN (excluding undergraduate language preparation students)
- Those who have been previously selected for Erasmus but have not exercised their right for the relevant academic year and have not completed the cancellation procedure. (However, in accordance with National Agency rules, students who were selected in a previous selection period within the same education level but did not carry out their activity without a compelling reason will be deducted by -10 points for each activity not carried out despite being eligible.)
- Students who previously applied to the Erasmus program but were not selected
- Students who have benefited from the Erasmus program can become Erasmus students again with a grant at a different education level. However, in accordance with National Agency rules, in addition to academic achievement and foreign language score averages, students who have previously benefited from mobility within the scope of the Lifelong Learning Programme or Erasmus+ within the same education level will have their final grades deducted by 10 points for each previous activity (regardless of study or internship). The -10 point deduction for previous participation will not be applied to mobilities carried out during the previous education level. This applies if a student who has completed mobility re-applies for the same level of education.
- Dual Citizen Students who wish to perform mobility in the program country of which they are citizens will have a 10-point deduction applied to their final score.
- Students with disabilities must submit a Disability Health Board Report or a copy of their Turkish Republic ID card showing their condition. A +10 point bonus is applied if the Disabled Persons Identity Card issued by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies is presented during the application.
- Children of martyrs and veterans (according to Article 21 of the Anti-Terror Law No. 3713 dated 12/04/1991, public officials who were injured, disabled, killed, or killed as a result of acts of terrorism while performing their duties at home or abroad, or while performing their duties even if their titles have been revoked)Children of those killed are considered children of martyrs and veterans. An additional 15 points will be awarded upon presentation of the original and a photocopy of your Martyr/Veteran Family Card, issued by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies of the Republic of Turkey, during Erasmus mobility applications.
- Students who have been granted protection, care, or housing under Social Services Law No. 2828 will be prioritized with an additional 10 points. To do this, the student must submit a letter from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies stating that there is a protection, care, or shelter decision against them pursuant to Law No. 2828.
- Meeting the General Academic Grade Point Average requirement: A minimum of 2.20/4 for undergraduate students and a minimum of 2.50/4 for graduate students.
- Meeting the Foreign Language Grade Point requirement: The minimum score for application is 70/100 (B2).

- You can apply for an Erasmus+ internship within 12 months of graduation, provided that you apply before graduation.
- Selected for mobility but not participating in the mobility without submitting a waiver within the specified time: -10 points (within 10 days of the announcement of the acceptance list)
- Applying for two mobility types simultaneously (reductions will be applied to the student's preferred mobility type) -10 points
- Mobility For selected students: Unexcused absence from meetings/trainings organized by the higher education institution related to mobility (applies if the student re-applies to Erasmus) -5 points.
- Declared intention to take the language exam but failed to attend without an excuse (applies if the student re-applies to Erasmus) -5 points.
- Internship Duration
- Internship Mobility within the scope of Erasmus is a minimum of two months, a maximum of 60 consecutive days. It can last 12 months. Additionally, mobility within the scope of Erasmus can be for a maximum of 12 months at any given level of study. For example, if you have previously completed an Erasmus program for 10 months and 5 days at the undergraduate level, you will no longer be eligible to apply for an Erasmus internship.
- A maximum of 60 days of your internship will be granted under the Erasmus program.
- The Erasmus internship mobility will be completed within the scope of project number 2021-1-TR01-KA131-000006613, named Start Up. Must be completed by 30/09/2023.
- Internship location and scope
- An internship is a process where a beneficiary receives vocational training and/or gains work experience within a business or organization in another participating country. The internship program must be related to the department/program in which the student is enrolled and must contribute to the intern's professional development. This compliance will be checked later by the approval of the Learning Agreement For Traineeship by the Erasmus Programme Institutional Coordinator; Please inform them when you select your internship.
- When searching for an internship, based on the feedback we've received from our students so far, we recommend trying the following:
- You can search for institutions by chatting with competent people in your field and searching online for the names of institutions related to your profession that you encounter in your classes and the names of the countries/cities you plan to visit.
- Try to receive an acceptance letter by sending one or more different application emails to the institutions you've chosen, including your resume and your motivation for applying to the relevant institution.
- Try to get a few If you receive an acceptance from another institution, be sure to inform the relevant institutions about the opportunities you will not consider.
- We recommend that you do not apply to intermediary institutions.

- The following institutions are not eligible for higher education internships within the scope of Erasmus+: European Union Institutions and EU agencies, National Agencies administering EU programs, etc. organizations.
- SELECTION PROCESS AND FUNDING RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT
- Student selections are made in accordance with the Erasmus+ Implementation Handbook for the relevant grant year.The selection criteria above are prepared and presented by the Coordination Office. Erasmus student selection and grant allocation are carried out among students who meet the minimum requirements and apply, ranking their scores from highest to lowest, taking into account the evaluation criteria and weighted scores announced by the National Agency.
- Grant distribution:
- A maximum of 80% of the announced grant student quota will be allocated before the start of the internship, and the remaining 20% will be allocated after the internship return. The final placement score will be calculated after the required documents are submitted, the Online Language Support (OLS) language exam is completed, and the online EU questionnaire sent by the "Beneficiary Module (BM)" is completed.
- The final placement score to be used in the evaluation of applications for Erasmus Internship Mobility will be calculated by averaging the academic achievement level (GPA) and foreign language score. Additionally, the following situations will affect the final score:
- According to the rules of the Turkish National Agency, other situations that affect the final score:
- Previous participation -10 points: Students who have previously participated in an Erasmus study or internship mobility will be deducted 10 points. Students who have been placed before and followed the appropriate cancellation procedure will be deducted 10 points. Students who have not yet applied are also included in this group.
- Students who wish to participate in mobility within their program country of citizenship will receive a deduction of 10 points from their final score.
- Students with disabilities (An additional 10 points will be applied if they document their condition with a Disability Health Board Report. The disability health report must be obtained from a fully equipped public hospital authorized by the Ministry of Health to issue disability reports.)
- Students who have received a protection, care, or shelter decision under Social Services Law No. 2828 and can provide documentation will receive an additional 10 points.
- Children of martyrs and veterans will receive an additional 15 points if the original and a photocopy of the Martyr/Veteran Family Card are presented.
- The 2022 Erasmus Internship Mobility candidate student list, including final placement scores, will be announced on the ABUN website after the Erasmus Language Exam. The number of students to be supported with the grant will also be announced along with the candidate student list. Students on the candidate list who cannot be supported with a grant may, upon request, carry out an Erasmus+ internship mobility without a grant.
- If students with a grant cancel their mobility or if the grant amount allocated for the internship increases, students who have already been mobile without a grant may also be supported with a grant.
