2026–2027 Project Period
Investigating the Relationship Between Homebound Youth (NEET) Tendencies and Parenting Styles Among Young Adults
Supported by TÜBİTAK 2209-A and supervised by Assist. Prof. Sevtap Yeşil Kocagazioğlu, this project is being conducted by Ankara Bilim University Psychology students, team leader Sena Bağçacı and team members İlayda Kartal, Nehir Gül Erbaş, and Merve Güçlü, between June 8, 2026, and June 8, 2027. The study aims to examine the relationship between young adults' tendency to remain at home as NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and perceived parenting styles using quantitative research methods. Given the growing prevalence of the NEET phenomenon in Türkiye, the project seeks to investigate the role of family dynamics and parental attitudes in shaping young people's life choices.

2025–2026 Project Period
Identifying Individuals' Experiences and Priorities During the Adoption Process: A Qualitative Study
Supported by TÜBİTAK 2209-A and supervised by Assist. Prof. Sevtap Yeşil Kocagazioğlu, this project is being conducted by Ankara Bilim University Psychology student Gülperi Poyraz between July 10, 2025, and July 10, 2026. The study aims to explore families' experiences and priorities throughout the adoption process. It examines the individual, social, and cultural factors influencing adoption decisions, as well as families' experiences before and during the adoption process through qualitative research methods. The project is expected to contribute to the literature by addressing existing knowledge gaps and supporting the development of evidence-based practices related to adoption.

Workplace Mobbing Against Women and the Psychological Consequences
Supported by TÜBİTAK 2209-A and supervised by Assist. Prof. Sevtap Yeşil Kocagazioğlu, this project is being conducted by Ankara Bilim University Psychology student Beyza Nur Yıldırım between July 10, 2025, and July 10, 2026. The study aims to investigate the psychological effects of workplace mobbing directed toward women. It examines the impact of mobbing on burnout, depression, anxiety, job satisfaction, and work performance, highlighting the consequences of gender-based psychological violence on women's mental health. Preliminary findings of the study were presented as an oral presentation by Beyza Nur Yıldırım at the 5th International Congress of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies on May 1, 2026.

Exploring Female Gamers' Experiences: The Relationship Between Online Sexual Harassment in Digital Gaming Environments, Family Communication Patterns, and Emotional Expression Skills

Prof. Sema Yurduşen, this project was conducted by Ankara Bilim University students, team leader Beyzanur Albayrak and team members Gülbetül Koçak and Abdullah Yorulmaz, between March 22, 2024, and March 22, 2025. The study aimed to investigate how online sexual harassment experienced by female gamers and family communication patterns are associated with individuals' emotional expression skills.

Playing "Like a Girl": A Qualitative Investigation of the Effects of the Invisibility of Female Gamers on In-Game Self-Confidence and Performance
Supported by TÜBİTAK 2209-A and supervised by Assist. Prof. Sema Yurduşen, this project was conducted by Ankara Bilim University students Aleyna Salman, Ennur Karakuş, and Dilbeste Erdoğan between March 22, 2024, and March 22, 2025. The study qualitatively investigates the effects of negative player behaviors, such as trash talk and verbal sexual harassment, on female gamers' in-game self-confidence and performance. The project aims to contribute to a better understanding of gender-based experiences in online gaming environments.

Examining the Emotional Experiences of Women Survivors of Violence Living in Women's Shelters
Supported by TÜBİTAK 2209-A and supervised by Assist. Prof. Sema Yurduşen, this project was conducted by Ankara Bilim University Psychology student Ayşe Ceren Demir between March 22, 2024, and March 22, 2025. The study aims to explore the emotional experiences of women survivors of violence residing in women's shelters through qualitative research methods and to identify the common themes emerging from these experiences.
