Psychology is a discipline that brings together our age-old curiosity about human nature and the rigor of the scientific method. In our department, we value both dimensions: we aim to provide a strong theoretical and methodological foundation while nurturing individuals who are sensitive to human experiences, committed to ethical principles, and capable of critical thinking.
Our program offers a balanced curriculum covering the core branches of the field, particularly clinical, developmental, social, cognitive, forensic, and experimental psychology. In addition to their coursework, our students have opportunities to put their knowledge into practice through research projects, laboratory work, and internships. Our experienced faculty members, who actively contribute to research, prioritize building close and supportive relationships with our students.

Dear Students,
Welcome to the Department of Psychology.
Psychology is a scientific discipline that provides a foundation for understanding the human mind and behavior, as well as individuals, societies, and the complex world in which we live. In this regard, our aim as a department is to provide our students with a strong academic foundation encompassing the biological, cognitive, social, and developmental dimensions of the human mind and behavior, while also cultivating an understanding of the discipline that enables them to critically engage with the dynamics of a changing world.
Our curriculum, delivered in English, aims to provide direct access to the international literature in psychology and to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate competently in international academic and professional settings. Our approach to education places particular emphasis on critical thinking, evidence-based inquiry, a holistic understanding of human behavior as it is transformed by digitalization and emerging technologies, and the highest ethical standards.
At our department, education is not limited to the transmission of theoretical knowledge. We encourage our students to become active participants in research processes, laboratory studies, and practices that promote sustainable well-being and balance at both societal and global levels. While actively contributing to the scientific community through their research, our academic staff also provide direct support throughout your education through teaching, academic advising, and project supervision.
The analytical perspective, research discipline, methodological competence, and ethical awareness you will develop throughout your education here will prepare you to take a competent and responsible role in any field in which the human element is central.
