Quality Activities

Ankara Science University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Departments of Psychology (Turkish) and Psychology (English) have started accreditation studies in 2024 in order to systematically monitor and improve the quality of education and training. In this process, the academic and administrative structure, curriculum, practice areas, and graduate qualifications were evaluated based on the Minimum Education Standards for Psychology Undergraduate Programs developed by the Turkish Psychologists Association (TPD).

One of our primary goals is to reach the required maturity level to apply for the Quality Assessment Registration Certificate issued by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK). To this end, all of our department's activities in education, training, research, and social contribution are systematically reviewed, and the quality assurance cycle is reviewed. Improvement processes are structured within this framework.

Ankara Science University Psychology Departments reference not only national standards but also the following international sources in their accreditation processes:

European Federation of Psychologists’ European Certificate in Psychology (EuroPsy) criteria defined by the Associations (EFPA),

Undergraduate psychology education qualifications defined by the American Psychological Association (APA),

Higher education quality assurance principles within the framework of the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG).
