Work Study and Production Laboratory
Ankara Science University's Work Study and Production Laboratory is an experimental learning environment that aims to provide students with practical skills in time study, method study, and production system analysis and improvement, which are fundamental areas of the Industrial Engineering discipline. The laboratory provides students with the opportunity to analyze production processes, perform productivity measurements, conduct ergonomic assessments, and evaluate workforce performance. It provides the opportunity to transfer theoretical knowledge to the field by providing skills such as optimization.
Through the equipment and software used in the laboratory, students gain hands-on experience in topics such as motion time studies, MTM (Methods-Time Measurement), MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique), work measurement, line balancing, process analysis, and plant layout. Furthermore, through exercises supported by digital timing systems, video analysis technologies, and simulation tools, students develop competencies in modeling and improving real-world production environments.
Work Study The Teaching Laboratory not only serves to put course content into practice, but also to provide solutions to sectoral problems, internalize lean manufacturing and continuous improvement philosophies, and develop interdisciplinary projects. In this respect, the laboratory serves as a critical bridge for students to bring their engineering perspectives to the field.
