With the senate decision numbered 2020/08-3. our university implements the so-called 7+1 system in undergraduate programs. This system allows students who complete the 190 ECTS portion of theoretical and applied courses in the first 7 semesters of their undergraduate programs to receive internship-oriented education in the 8th semester. According to this practice, in the 8th semester, which is the last semester of all undergraduate programs, students receive internship/business education worth 25 ECTS, and program catalogs that include 5 ECTS department courses are implemented. Upon successful completion of the internship, the earned ECTS credits are added to the student's course schedule and included in the graduation credit calculation.
Students find the company where they will do their internship through their own resources or choose from internship locations announced by the university Career and Internship Coordination Center. In all cases, the validity of the student's internship location is determined by the relevant department's Applied Training Committee.
