Facilities and Support Provided to Students with Disabilities
Ankara Bilim University makes the necessary physical, academic, administrative, and social arrangements to ensure that students with disabilities participate equally and effectively in education and training processes, facilitate their academic lives, and support their full participation in university life.
Within this scope:

Necessary arrangements are made in examinations and educational processes by taking students’ disabilities into consideration.

Physical facilities such as ramps, elevators, accessible restrooms, and similar arrangements are provided within university buildings.

Access to the University and mobility within the campus are facilitated.

Necessary measures are taken to ensure the safety of students with disabilities in emergencies and fire situations.

Access to psychological counseling and guidance services is facilitated.

Necessary conveniences are provided in administrative and bureaucratic procedures.

Students’ individual needs are taken into consideration in course schedules and academic processes.

Accessible parking spaces are provided on campus.

Equal participation in internship, career, social, cultural, and sporting activities is supported.

Necessary assistance is provided to facilitate communication with academic advisors and relevant university units.
Life and Fire Safety of Students with Disabilities
Necessary planning and arrangements are carried out within Ankara Bilim University to ensure that students with disabilities can act safely and be evacuated safely in emergencies and fire situations, taking their individual needs into consideration.
In this context, students’ needs are identified, necessary information is provided regarding how they should act in emergencies, and arrangements are made regarding individuals who may assist them when necessary. These practices are reviewed at the beginning of each academic year and updated as required.
Studies concerning the identification of the needs of students with disabilities and the implementation of necessary arrangements are carried out through the cooperation of the relevant academic and administrative units within Ankara Bilim University.
