All students enrolled in undergraduate programs taught in English are required to demonstrate English proficiency. New students enrolled in these programs are assessed through the English Proficiency Exam (Stage 1 - English Placement Exam) and the English Proficiency Exam (Stage 2 - Preparatory School Passing Exam), administered by the Preparatory School at the beginning of the academic year in which they enroll at the university.
Stage 1 - English Placement Exam
This exam consists of multiple-choice questions that measure Listening, Reading, Vocabulary, and Grammar skills. Students who pass Stage 1 are eligible to take the Stage 2 Preparatory Program Examination.
Stage 2 - English Proficiency Exam (Preparatory Program Examination)
This stage measures students' Writing and Speaking skills.
Students who pass the exams are exempt from the English Preparatory Program and begin their undergraduate studies. Additionally, students may be exempt from the Preparatory Program by submitting scores determined by the university on international exams accepted by the university.
