The Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences at Ankara Science University brings together the departments of Pilot Training, Aeronautical Engineering, Air Traffic Control, and Aviation Management within the same academic structure, addressing aviation through its technical, operational, and managerial dimensions. Its location in Ankara provides students with access to a strong sectoral environment where they can closely follow developments in the aviation, space, and defense industries. The University’s infrastructure supporting research and project development, department-specific Erasmus+ agreements, and the SHGM KDM e-Examination Center, where examinations for aviation personnel are administered, also contribute to students’ academic and professional development.
Having all four departments within the same faculty allows students to understand the relationships among the different professional fields that make up the aviation system during their education. Aircraft design, flight operations, movement within the airspace, and aviation management are interconnected processes. Joint academic activities, seminars, case studies, and interdisciplinary projects help students understand the responsibilities of other aviation fields alongside their own area of study, communicate effectively with different professional teams, and evaluate professional decisions from a broader perspective.
Applicants entitled to complete final registration for the Departments of Pilot Training, Aviation Management, and Air Traffic Control must submit the health documents prescribed for the relevant program during registration. The applicable requirements are summarized below by department.
Department of Pilot Training
Applicants must submit a medical report compliant with ICAO Annex 1 Class 1 requirements and issued by a medical institution authorized by the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Applicants must submit a medical board report issued within the preceding six months by a fully equipped hospital, confirming their medical fitness to perform the profession and its associated duties.
