Program Description
The Aircraft Technology Program at Ankara Science University Vocational School is a two-year associate degree program aimed at training qualified technical personnel needed by the rapidly developing civil aviation and defense industries. Within the program, students gain theoretical knowledge about aircraft fuselage, engine, mechanical, and avionics systems, while receiving practical training in maintenance, repair, assembly, and technical control processes, preparing them for the sector.
The program offers comprehensive training on the structure, systems, and maintenance processes of aircraft used in the aviation sector. Students gain knowledge in fundamental areas such as aircraft technology, aviation materials, aircraft engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical and electronic systems, technical drawing, quality management, aviation safety, and aviation legislation, while having the opportunity to develop their professional skills through laboratory and practical courses.
The program curriculum is prepared in line with national and international aviation standards and the needs of the sector. Thanks to training conducted by expert academics and faculty with industry experience, students reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical work, preparing them for working life after graduation.

Graduates of the program can work as technical personnel in airline companies, aircraft maintenance and repair (MRO) organizations, aircraft manufacturing companies, defense industry organizations, airports, ground handling companies, and companies producing parts for the aviation sector. Furthermore, if they meet the necessary conditions, they can continue their undergraduate education through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), advancing their careers to a higher academic and professional level.
