Applications are submitted through the online application system specified in the master’s program admission announcement, within the dates indicated in the announcement. Admission announcements are published at the beginning of each semester in the Announcements section of the Graduate Education Institute’s website.

A Thesis Master’s Program is an academic graduate program in which students conduct research and complete a thesis under the supervision of an academic advisor. It is generally more research-oriented and may provide a suitable foundation for students who wish to pursue a doctoral degree.
A Non-Thesis Master’s Program focuses more on professional knowledge and practical skills. Instead of preparing a thesis, students complete courses and a term project. It is particularly suitable for students who wish to enhance their professional knowledge and skills.

A 50% discount is available for graduates of Ankara Bilim University and employees of contracted institutions. A 30% registration discount will be applied to enrolled students. Each candidate may benefit from only one discount rate. Additionally, in accordance with the conditions specified in the Scholarship Directive, merit scholarships are awarded to 15% of the students enrolled in thesis-based master’s programs.
Course registration is completed through the Student Information System (OBS) when the course registration period specified in the academic calendar begins.

A student certificate and transcript can be obtained through the e-Government Portal or the Student Information System (OBS).
Students can complete the enrollment freeze petition available under the “Forms” section of our website and submit it to the Directorate of the Institute.
The period of study is a minimum of 2 semesters and a maximum of 3 semesters for non-thesis master’s programs.
For thesis-based master’s programs, it is a minimum of 4 semesters and a maximum of 6 semesters.
A scientific preparation program is required for students who have graduated from undergraduate fields other than those specified in the admission requirements of the relevant program. For detailed information, please review the application and admission requirements for each program published on the Graduate Education Institute’s website.
Yes. Students may request exemptions for courses successfully completed in another master’s program within the last five years. Exemptions may be granted for courses that are deemed compatible in terms of content and scope, up to a maximum of 50% of the courses in the relevant curriculum. Compulsory courses are not eligible for exemption.
The thesis advisor and thesis topic are determined jointly by the student and their advisor in accordance with the student’s academic interests and goals, and are subject to approval by the relevant Institute.
The appointment of the thesis advisor and determination of the thesis topic can be requested by submitting the relevant petition available in the “Forms” section of our website.
Ethics committee approval must be obtained before data collection begins for studies that collect data from human participants through surveys, interviews, observations, experiments, or similar methods; use personal data; or involve research on humans or animals.
Students enrolled in thesis-based master’s programs must successfully complete 2 compulsory courses—Research Methods and Publication Ethics and Seminar—7 elective courses, and a master’s thesis. They must earn a total of 120 ECTS credits and achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.70.
Students enrolled in non-thesis master’s programs must successfully complete Research Methods and Publication Ethics, 9 elective courses, and a term project. They must earn a total of 90 ECTS credits and achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.70.
