Summer School Enrolment and Schedule

2025–2026 Preparatory Summer School courses will commence on July 13, 2026. The registration and payment processes must be completed by July 10, 2026, via the application tab in the online transactions section of the university website (https://ankarabilim.edu.tr/Abulogin ).

Detailed information regarding the curriculum, attendance regulations, and assessment criteria for the Summer School is outlined below:

  • The summer semester is structured as a 7-week intensive program comprising 27 lecture hours per week. The first 6 weeks will be dedicated to instruction, while the 7th week is reserved exclusively for the Proficiency Examination.
  • The weekly course schedule is attached. All lectures will be conducted in person on campus.
  • Unlike the level-based differentiation implemented during the regular academic year, the Summer School curriculum will be conducted as a unified group.
  • Depending on total enrollment numbers, one or two classes will be formed. In the event of multiple classes, both will follow the identical curriculum and schedule.
  • Lectures will utilize specially compiled course booklets encompassing grammar, reading, listening, and writing components. These materials will be provided to registered students free of charge at the beginning of the semester.
  • Attendance is strictly compulsory. Students who exceed an absenteeism rate of 20% of the total course hours will be deemed unsuccessful, regardless of their academic average. Consequently, they will remain ineligible to pass, even if they sit for the Proficiency Examination.
  • Student performance will be evaluated through a Quiz, a Midterm Exam, Assignments, and a Final Exam. Exam dates and percentage weightings are listed below.
  • Please note that no make-up examinations will be administered during the Summer School. Students who fail to attend an examination will automatically receive a grade of "G" (Absent).
  • To qualify for the Proficiency Examination, students must achieve a cumulative term success grade of 45 or above upon completion of the Final Exam.
  • The Summer School Proficiency Examination is strictly restricted to students currently registered in the Summer School program. Unregistered students will not be admitted.
  • Proficiency Exam will take place on August 24, 26, and 27, 2026.
  • Students who do not successfully complete the Summer School program retain the right to take the general Proficiency Examination administered at the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year.
