Student Experiences: ABU Psychology Students Share

We posed some questions to better understand our students' experiences. The questions asked are listed below.

The responses we received are as follows:

Beyzanur Albayrak - Psychology (English) 3rd Year Student:

1. ABU provides convenience and support to students due to its extensive laboratories, large campus, and diversity in faculty. With its inquisitive and thought-provoking approach, it aims to constantly foster students' development. My expectations include a more interactive and discussion-oriented environment, especially within the Psychology Department, and more individualized attention to students.

2. New students should keep up with current news and developments related to their field of study, willingly complete assigned tasks, and focus on exams on time. They shouldn't hesitate to research and ask questions, and they should strive to learn about campus culture and interact with as many people as possible.

3. The variety of food options on campus, the abundance of shops, the availability and convenience of facilities such as the basketball court and cinema, friendly staff, cleanliness, suitable class hours, social activities, and the opportunity to attend training sessions, conferences, and seminars led by experts within the university.

4. Experience, Development, Responsibility.

Arzu Yaren Bolatcan - Psychology (English) 3rd Year Student:

1. When I first came to university, I hoped for better communication with my professors, and that has indeed been the case. We can easily communicate with our professors and reach out to them when we need help.

2. Since the university is currently open to development, many departmental and social activities are being implemented gradually. For example, a LAB has been established for our Psychology Department this semester. Students can participate in such activities to develop themselves and gain experience.

3. The ease of communication with professors and the proximity to Kızılay provide incredible convenience in terms of transportation.
