Erasmus+ App and the European Student Card Initiative

Erasmus+ App and the European Student Card Initiative

The European Student Card Initiative is a European Commission initiative designed to make the administrative processes associated with Erasmus+ student mobility easier, more secure and more digital.

The initiative supports students in accessing the information and services they need before, during and after their mobility, while also helping higher education institutions manage Erasmus+ processes digitally.

The European Student Card Initiative consists of three main components:

European Student Card

The European Student Card aims to make it easier to verify the student status of higher education students across Europe.

The initiative supports the integration of European Student Card features into existing physical or digital student cards and facilitates access for mobile students to on-campus and off-campus services provided by the receiving institution.

Erasmus+ App

The Erasmus+ App is a digital tool that provides students with access to information and services they may need throughout their Erasmus+ mobility process in one place.

The app was developed to help students plan their mobility abroad and follow the different stages of their mobility. Through the app, students can access information about Erasmus+ opportunities, mobility procedures, destinations and other available services.

The Erasmus+ App is available on Android and iOS devices, as well as through the web. The features available through the app may vary depending on the systems used by higher education institutions and the existing technical integrations.

Erasmus Without Paper – EWP

Erasmus Without Paper – EWP is a system that enables higher education institutions to exchange information and documents related to Erasmus+ student mobility securely in a digital environment.

Through EWP, Erasmus+ procedures such as Inter-Institutional Agreements, student mobility information and digital Learning Agreements can be managed online. The system supports the reduction of paper use and helps institutions carry out their procedures more quickly and efficiently.

EWP is primarily an institutional infrastructure used by higher education institutions. Students’ digital Learning Agreement procedures are managed through the Erasmus+ management systems used by the sending and receiving institutions.
