PROJECTS OFFICE DIRECTORATE

The Projects Office Directorate was established in the EU with document number E-12254029-200-11537 dated September 23, 2024. The purpose of this office is to optimize the processes of determining, monitoring, and, if necessary, revising research strategies and objectives. The Projects Office Directorate determines and updates the university's research and development policies and regularly monitors and manages research activities.
One of the EU's most powerful The researcher's human resources, a key element of this resource, along with the supporting elements of the research centers and Technology Transfer Office, constitute the university's research ecosystem. The Projects Office Directorate directs and coordinates this entire structure in line with the university's strategies.

Purpose:
The EU Projects Office Directorate was established with a document dated September 23, 2024, numbered E-12254029-200-11357, to optimize the processes of determining, monitoring, and reviewing research strategies and objectives. The Research Directorate's primary responsibility is to determine and update the university's research and development policies and objectives, and to regularly monitor and implement research activities.
Another important function of the Projects Office Directorate is to act as an interface between the TTO and EU researchers. The Projects Office Directorate, including technology transfer efforts, is responsible for coordinating the following:  

  • Collecting/evaluating all research data in the EU,  
  • Directing relevant studies to the TTO,  
  • Supporting the TTO's activities, particularly in the EU disseminate among researchers and integrate into the research ecosystem.

In line with the EU's strategic plan, the Projects Office Directorate:

  • Organizes the TTO's areas of activity, records the competencies of researchers,  
  • Monitors the equipment infrastructure,  
  • Manages changes in the device inventory,  
  • Ensures the replacement of end-of-life devices with new ones.

All research centers in the EU It reports to the Projects Office Directorate, and the Rector is the Head of the EU Projects Office.

The EU Projects Office Directorate provides training and consulting services on legal, administrative, technical, and budgetary matters during the application, implementation, and commercialization processes of projects led by or in partnership with faculty members, and coordinates the relevant units.

TTO, EU Projects Office Directorate In coordination with the Turkish Patent Information and Documentation Unit, it:  

  • Conducts trademark-patent-utility model application processes,  
  • Informs researchers by organizing training events on Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights (FSMH),  
  • Provides consultancy services on national and international funding programs,  
  • Follows calls for these projects and organizes project-specific workshops and training. In addition to these activities, the TTO conducts university-industry collaboration, business development, incorporation, and entrepreneurship activities.

The Projects Office Directorate organizes topic-focused strategy meetings with researchers from all relevant departments to identify focus areas. It also organizes meetings and special consultancies with relevant companies and researchers to assess research potential. It also provides statistical analyses and future projections based on the obtained data and research outputs, and reports these to university management. Furthermore, under the coordination of the TTO, the EU It plans to ensure the commercialization and technology transfer of academic knowledge produced by its researchers and conducts facilitative activities by matching research with commercialization potential with companies within R&D firms.

In this context, the EU's greatest strengths—its human research resources, accessible research centers, the Technology Transfer Office, and the EU'sThe Projects Office Directorate manages the direction and coordination of this entire system in line with university strategies.
