Piloting, one of the most prestigious, dynamic and rapidly growing professions in the aviation industry, is studied at Ankara Science University Pilotage Department. It is carried to a holistic academic dimension at international standards. In today's world, a pilot is not just a technical personnel who directs and manages an aircraft; At the same time, he has high leadership qualities, crisis management skills, and versatile skills. He is a manager with communication skills and global aviation safety culture. Our department prepares its students for the cockpit with exactly this modern vision.
Our training process will be carried out in full compliance with the rules and high standards determined by international and national aviation authorities (EASA and DGCA). Our students will combine the theoretical lessons they receive in modern classrooms and with advanced technology simulator infrastructure, with practical flight training under the supervision of experienced flight instructors who are experts in their fields. Our curriculum; It offers academic depth in a wide range of subjects, ranging from meteorology to flight principles, from human performance to aviation law. To carry out our flight training, we have a training agreement with the Turkish Aeronautical Association Flight Academy (TUA), which currently trains Air Force Command pilots. In order to become a pilotage student, the conditions determined by the DGCA must be met. The innovative perspective that Ankara Science University brings to education and the "Interdisciplinary Integration" As a part of its vision, all students at our university will have the privilege of taking PPL (Private Pilot License) theoretical courses completely free of charge, if they meet the conditions of becoming a pilot student. Thanks to this unique application, aviation culture throughout our university. as it spreads to the base; Pilotage Department Our students will also have the chance to meet with their peers from other disciplines (engineering, management, law, etc.) in a common aviation ecosystem, develop multidisciplinary projects and establish sectoral connections during their student years.
In order to build a successful career in the aviation industry, employees must study in relevant fields at the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. It is a legal obligation to have (SHGM) approved certificates. Our students studying at our university meet the needs of the sector. They will be able to receive comprehensive training to obtain these critical certificates. After their training, our students will be able to take the exam directly at the KDM e-exam center, located on our campus and approved by DGCA, in order to obtain the necessary documents and successfully complete the proficiency exams.
