Industrial Engineering stands out as a field of engineering that offers a people-focused and flexible career path, with opportunities for collaboration with other fields. Industrial Engineers design integrated systems that include humans and make these systems more productive, high-quality, reliable, and sustainable. In doing so, they utilize the analytical, computational, and experimental skills they acquired during their engineering education, as well as their holistic perspective, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Because Industrial Engineering bridges management and the field, its graduates must be equipped with both technical and managerial skills. With this understanding, when designing the Industrial Engineering Department of Ankara Science University, we considered the strengths of many similar programs both domestically and internationally. and weaknesses, and thus we tried to create the richest combination to train the Industrial Engineers of the future. In this context, our program, with its rapidly developing academic staff and collaboration network, provides its graduates with the most needed skills to achieve success in a wide range of sectors. It aims to provide them with the skills and competencies they need.
With the increasing number of complex, multi-dimensional, and interactive systems in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, IT, transportation, and communications, the need for Industrial Engineers with the competence to perform a multitude of functions in these sectors, from production planning and business development to data analytics and risk management, investment planning and automation and quality engineering, will continue to grow.
