APPLICATION AND OPERATION

An academic year in the Ankara Science University SİMURG Program consists of two semesters: Fall and Spring semesters. Graduation takes four semesters and two academic years. The total duration of study is two years. Students in the first two semesters are referred to as first-year students, and those in the last two semesters are referred to as second-year students. Students are also classified as first-, second-, third-, and fourth-year students, depending on their semester. Curriculum is structured according to this definition. A semester will consist of at least 5 courses, with each course lasting one hour per week. A semester will be 14 weeks, and each course will consist of at least 14 hours of instruction. Each course will be at least 30 minutes long and no more than 45 minutes long. Courses will be held on the Ankara Science University campus.
Instructors are either university faculty or experts in the relevant subject areas. Tuition fees are deposited into the university account at the beginning of the semester.

There are no exams for the courses. Students will not take exams. In addition to tracking absences under an evaluation method known as the Pass/Fail system, evaluations based solely on presentations and assignments will be conducted at the discretion of the course instructor. Students are required to attend classes unless they have a valid and/or documented excuse. Students who attend less than 50% of the total number of weeks of the course will not pass. In other words, they must attend at least seven weeks of the course. Graduates will receive a "Certificate of Achievement" from the Ankara Science University Simurg Program.

Applications will be accepted through face-to-face applications. Online terms and conditions, if available, will be published before the semester begins. Those accepted will qualify as students. Students will sign a commitment to determine what is expected in the event of a health emergency, as well as responsibilities. The commitment form and the required documents for registration must be submitted to our university with wet signatures.

For final registration, students are required to apply in person (online during the pandemic) with two passport-sized photographs, a copy of their ID card/passport, and the Registration Form and commitment form (these two forms will be provided to you by the university).
