Program Overview

The Medical Data Processing Technician Program at Ankara Bilim University Vocational School is a two-year associate degree program designed to educate qualified healthcare informatics professionals who will contribute to the digital transformation of the healthcare sector. The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to effectively use healthcare information technologies, manage medical data accurately and securely, adhere to professional and ethical principles, and adapt to rapidly evolving technological advancements.

Throughout the program, students receive both theoretical and practical education in medical terminology, health information systems, electronic health records, medical documentation, healthcare legislation, and medical data management. In addition, they gain fundamental knowledge of computer technologies and database applications, enabling them to efficiently use digital systems employed in healthcare institutions.

With practice-oriented education delivered by experienced academic staff and supported by internship opportunities, students develop professional competencies and gain valuable workplace experience before graduation. Graduates of the program are qualified to work in public and private hospitals, university hospitals, oral and dental health centers, medical centers, laboratories, health tourism organizations, and institutions operating in the field of healthcare informatics.
