Ankara Science University Internationalisation Policy
Ankara Science University is an entrepreneurial, innovative, technology- and research-oriented higher education institution that aims to strengthen its international recognition and quality assurance.
The University regards internationalisation as a strategic element that enhances the quality of education and training, research and development, societal contribution, and the experiences of students and staff. In this regard, it aims to integrate all areas of higher education with an international perspective and to create an inclusive academic environment that supports intercultural interaction.
Ankara Science University promotes the development of a multicultural student experience, increased student and staff mobility, international research and development activities, stronger cross-sectoral and international cooperation, and the establishment of institutional structures capable of making meaningful and sustainable contributions to global developments.
The University aims to educate students who can compete internationally in a global and interconnected world, communicate effectively across cultures, and act as innovative and responsible individuals. In this context, particular importance is attached to developing foreign-language education opportunities, integrating international content into academic programmes, and creating learning and teaching environments that support intercultural competences.
Through international exchange programmes, bilateral cooperation agreements and joint projects, students, academic staff and administrative staff are encouraged to gain international experience. These activities are intended to contribute to the development of participants’ academic, professional, linguistic and intercultural competences.
Ankara Science University supports the international dimension of its educational programmes through quality assurance and accreditation processes. The principles of the European Higher Education Area and the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework are taken into consideration to ensure the transparency and comparability of academic programmes and the recognition of qualifications.
The University’s international protocols, bilateral cooperation agreements, mobility activities and international projects are coordinated by the International Relations Coordination Office in cooperation with the relevant academic and administrative units.
The academic development, university experience and integration processes of international students are monitored in cooperation with the relevant units. Importance is attached to developing orientation, information and support activities that facilitate students’ participation in academic and social life.
International promotion and student recruitment activities are carried out to attract students from different countries to the University. A multicultural university environment is supported through academic, cultural, social and artistic activities.
Increasing international cooperation in research and development, attracting qualified researchers and projects to the University, and strengthening the institution’s international research capacity are among the University’s priorities. Academic staff are encouraged to participate in international research networks and to undertake joint publications, projects and scientific activities.

- Acting in accordance with relevant legislation and institutional regulations in internationalisation activities,
- Preparing and implementing projects within national and international grant programmes,
- Developing international cooperation in education, research, innovation, technology, art and design,
- Integrating environmental sustainability, digital transformation and societal contribution into internationalisation activities.

The University carries out activities aimed at developing cooperation in education, research, mobility and project-based initiatives with higher education institutions, public bodies, private-sector organisations and civil society organisations in different countries.
The outcomes of internationalisation activities are regularly monitored through participant feedback, mobility data, the sustainability of partnerships, research outputs and institutional performance indicators. The results obtained are used for the continuous improvement of this policy and the related processes.
