Free licensed Microsoft 365 services are offered to Ankara Bilim University students and academic and administrative staff for use in their educational, research, and institutional activities.
Users can access Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and other Microsoft 365 applications included in the license using their institutional email accounts (ending in @ankarabilim.edu.tr). These applications can be used via a web browser or downloaded to computers running Windows or macOS by users with the appropriate license. Microsoft requires users to sign in with their assigned work or school account to download and activate the applications.
Downloading Microsoft 365 Applications
Open the Microsoft 365 applications page.
Log in using your Ankara Bilim University institutional email address and password.
Click the “Install apps” option on the page.
Select the “Microsoft 365 apps” option to download the installation file.
Run the downloaded installation file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once the installation is complete, open an Office application and sign in with your institutional account to activate your license.
Microsoft’s current installation page redirects users to m365.cloud.microsoft/apps. The option to install desktop applications appears based on the Microsoft 365 license assigned to the user account.
Usage and Security!
The institutional Microsoft 365 account and license are personal. Usernames and passwords must not be shared with others, and users should sign out of their accounts after completing tasks on shared devices. Access to downloaded applications and their activation status may change if the user's affiliation with the university ends or if the assigned license is modified.
