Preparatory Exams for New and Returning Students
(2026-2027 Fall Preparatory School Exemption Exam)
The Preparatory School Exemption Exam will be held on September 7th, 9th, and 10th for students newly enrolled in our university and those continuing their education in the Preparatory School.
Preparatory Course Exemption Exam Dates:
First Stage (TEST) – September 7, 2026, 10:00 – 12:20 (140 min.)
Announcement of First Stage Results – September 8, 2026, 13:00
Second Stage (Writing) – September 9, 2026, 10:00 – 11:00
Second Stage (Speaking) – September 10, 2026, 10:00 (Duration will be determined according to the number of students.)
Announcement of Final Results – September 11, 2026, 13:00
Students who score 45 or above (70 or above for Translation and Interpreting students) in the first stage are eligible to take the second stage exams.
Students who previously obtained a TEST score of 45 or higher (70 or higher for Translation and Interpreting students) can retake the second stage exams.
Students who did not take the Preparatory School Exemption Exam do not have the right to retake it. There is no make-up/retake exam for the Preparatory School Exemption Exam. Students who did not take the exam will attend the Preparatory School in the 2026-2027 academic year.
A Level Placement Exam will be held on September 22, 2026, for students who failed the Preparatory School Exemption Exam and/or did not participate. This exam is for determining the student's course level (e.g., Level A/Level B). This exam is only for Preparatory School students and is not an exemption or Preparatory School Exemption Exam.
