Ankara Bilim University academics, including Vice Rector Prof. Hakan Çağlar, Prof. Ender Sevinc, Assoc. Prof. Ayhan Akbaş, Assoc. Prof. Nedim Alpdemir and Assoc. Prof. Yavuz Selim Özdemir accompanied by visited Innova for a productive meeting with Innova CTO Erkan Dilaveroğlu and Head of R&D Osman Tufan Doğan, together with the engineering team.
During the meeting, Visiting Professor of ABU, Prof. Chuan Heng Foh from 6G Innovation Centre (University of Surrey) presented the proposed 5G/6G use cases, focusing on innovative approaches that leverage digital twin technologies to enable resilient, self-healing, and autonomous mobile networks, particularly in scenarios involving network degradation or disaster conditions.
The discussions covered topics such as base-station digital replicas, alternative communication links, sensor-assisted monitoring, and UAV-supported network intelligence, which attracted strong interest from both industry and academic participants. The meeting concluded with a shared vision to expand the collaboration through EU-funded research and innovation projects, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, 6G networks, and next-generation digital infrastructures.
