Following the additional university placement process (YKS), the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS), and the registration of international students, new students have joined the English Preparatory School. In response to the updated student numbers, some changes have been made to the A-Level and B-Level classes.
A-Level Class Arrangements
The results of the student survey indicated that the existing classrooms were not large enough to accommodate the current number of students. To address this issue, a new A-Level class (A8) has been opened. Some students from the existing A-Level classes have been transferred to this newly established class. This arrangement aims to balance class sizes and create a more suitable learning environment for more effective lessons.
Students assigned to the new class were selected randomly from the existing class lists. The selection was not based on attendance records, exam grades, or classroom participation.
The student list and timetable for A8 are attached to this email. Students can also check their class assignments through the Student Information System (ÖBS).
Students listed in the attachment will attend their classes in Classroom 204, starting Monday, 2 November. Their attendance will be recorded under class A8.
B-Level Class Arrangements
After reviewing the number of students enrolled in the B-Level classes and actual class attendance, it has been decided that class B3 will be closed. Students previously assigned to B3 have been transferred to classes B1 and B2.
The updated student lists for B1 and B2 are attached to this email. Students can check their new class assignments and timetables through the Student Information System (ÖBS).
Students listed in the attachments will attend their classes in their new groups starting Monday, 2 November.
Attendance Records and Online Assignments
Students' previous attendance records and exam grades will be preserved and transferred to their new classes. To ensure that attendance records are transferred accurately, attendance sheets will be provided to instructors. Class attendance will be checked against these records and entered into the system accordingly.
The necessary class and student assignments will also be updated in the online homework platforms. Students' previously completed assignments and progress will be preserved. Further information will be provided separately regarding any access issues that may arise during this transition.
