Introduction to Game Development with Unreal Engine 5 Workshop
In this 5-week workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of Unreal Engine 5 and the fundamentals of creating a 3D game using the Blueprint system!
This course will lay the foundations for creating game mechanics, character animations, and interactive worlds using Blueprints, a visual programming language, without requiring coding knowledge.
At the end of the workshop, you will have completed a simple 3D game. This will help you win a major award-winning project in the future. You'll be ready to make games for Game Jam (a quick game making competition).
Workshop Details
Who Can Participate? Anyone interested in game development and dreaming of making their own game can participate.
Requirements:No programming or coding knowledge is required. Basic computer knowledge is sufficient. Courses will be taught in Turkish.

Training Schedule
- Duration: 5 Weeks (Total 15 Hours)
- Dates: November 22, 2025 – December 20, 2025
- Day and Time: Every Saturday, 14:00 – 5:00 PM (Day and time can be changed to suit the group)

Weekly Training Program (15 Hours)
1. Week (3 Hours): Introduction to the World of UE5
- What is a game engine?
- What is Unreal Engine 5?
- Creating projects and recognizing templates
- Interface (Viewport, Outliner, Content Drawer)
- Level Design Basics
- Introduction to Unreal Actors
- Introduction to Blueprints
2. Week (3 Hours): Blueprint Continuation
- Blueprint Continuation (Visual Coding Logic)
- Actor Blueprints
- Variables: Storing values such as Score, Life, etc.
- Functions and Events
- Condition (Branch) Logic
- Collision and Event Logic
- Object Animation with Timeline (Rotating object or opening door)
3. Week 3 (3 Hours): Characters and Animations
- Recognizing the Character Blueprint
- Character Movement with Inputs
- Finding and Adding Animations
- Animation Playing character-specific animations with Blueprint
- Interacting with other objects
- Adding and changing materials
4. Week 1 (3 Hours): Level Creation and Enemy Adding
- Using Asset
- Creating Environmental Factors
- Creating Enemy Characters
- Enemy AI login
- UI basics
5. Week (3 Hours): UI and Project Completion
- Creating the Game UI
- Completing and debugging projects
- Packaging the project (Build) and .exe
