Dear Students,
Information Systems Engineering, a multidisciplinary field, is a branch of engineering that develops the information technologies necessary for the effective management of information production, sharing, and storage processes. The applied courses offered within the program cover topics such as creating the organizational information structure and data architecture needed by businesses from a technology perspective, and providing hands-on training in the technologies necessary for providing secure, efficient, and rapid access to information. Studying in this field allows students to gain strong positions in the technological world. It will help lay a foundation. Furthermore, the rapidly growing IT sector offers significant job opportunities to IT graduates.
Furthermore, in today's information age, a country's development is directly proportional to its ability to coordinate the use of information and technology products. This is because people's access to information is easier and faster. Computers, a product of technology, are a factor that increases competition in many sectors. However, a system without software support will be less efficient. Furthermore, today's information systems consist not of a single computer, but of numerous computers working together, spread across countries or the entire globe, and even located anywhere in "space" (including satellite systems).
Therefore, the establishment, operation, and protection of individual, institutional, governmental, and even global information systems is now a new branch of engineering. For example, countries' healthcare systems, population information systems, geographic information systems, air traffic control systems, factory production processes, the financial sector, international banking, and e-commerce systems are typical examples.
Remember!
Information is power, but uncontrolled power can be harmful. Therefore, managing information is an engineering process. We trust you, young people, who will build and manage the information systems of the future.
