MISSION OF LIBRARY

  1. To carry out the necessary studies to create sufficient staff for library services,
  2. To give an opinion to the Rectorate on the personnel to be appointed or assigned to the libraries and to carry out the general training and inspection duty on the library personnel at the University,
  3. To provide any information such as books, periodicals, thesis, micro-films, audio-visual materials, videotapes, and similar information from the country and foreign country to meet the information and document needs to be required by education and research, to systematically organize the stored information, and make them available for those in need; to organize, execute and inspect the library services necessary to meet the information needs,
  4. To prepare and submit the necessary budget draft for books, periodicals, equipment, and similar materials to be supplied from the country and foreign countries every year to the Rectorate,
  5. To ensure that the tools and equipment are regularly renewed with the latest technology to provide the library services in the best way,
  6. To submit an annual report on library and documentation services,
  7. To carry out internship and application studies for students studying librarianship when necessary,
  8. To ensure that the library materials are renewed and suitable for a contemporary library within the allocated budget, to take the necessary measures to ensure the sustainable development of the library, to present its suggestions to the Senior Management,
  9. To solve any infrastructure and superstructure deficiencies that may prevent the healthy delivery of library services within the framework of their duties and authorities, to promptly notify the Rector's Office and other relevant Departments and request solutions for issues exceeding the limits of authority,
  10. To inform the Rector's Office about the library and library services developments.
