Ankara Science University kicked off the 2025-2026 academic year with a meaningful opening ceremony. The university's traditional "First Lecture" program was held in the campus courtyard on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM.

This year's opening event is not just an academic beginning; It also represents a special moment where humanity, conscience, and art meet. As part of the program, a special recording of the Gaza-themed stage cantata "Sounds and Ashes," performed by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra and the State Polyphonic Choir, was presented to the audience.

"Sounds and Ashes" brings to the stage the power of the human voice, hope, and solidarity amidst war and destruction. Drawing attention to the genocide in Palestine (Gaza), one of the greatest tragedies of our time, the work aims to impart not only knowledge but also sensitivity and universal values ​​to students and the academic community.
