The meeting of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Human Rights Investigation Commission was held at Ankara Bilim University.
The meeting was chaired by Derya Yanik, Chair of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Human Rights Investigation Commission.
The meeting was attended by the following members of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Human Rights Investigation Commission:
• Mahmut TANAL – CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy
• Mustafa ALKAYIŞ – AK Party Adıyaman Deputy
• Harun MERTOĞLU – AK Party Rize Deputy
• Adem YILDIRIM – AK Party Istanbul Deputy
as well as Commission Officer Attorney Hakan AY.
Ankara Bilim University Rector Prof. Dr. Yavuz DEMİR and members of the Islamophobia Research Center (CenterCIF) Advisory Board were present at the meeting.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başar BAYSAL, Advisory Board Member, gave a presentation on the center's ongoing activities and planned projects. Three female students were also invited to attend the meeting by President Derya Yanık. Yanık emphasized the importance of young ideas and stated that the active contributions of university students in the field of human rights are of great value.
